Most selective schools require 2 years, most recommend 3 or 4 years. You also need to think about your major in college. Many majors have a foreign language requirement, which may be waived if you can test out. This means — take a language in high school. Learning a new language and about a new culture should be fun!
it depends on your major but i do believe your high school requires it and college does require it at a 200 level
I teach in a high school. Students who want to go to a decent college take at least two years of a foreign language.
It’s mandatory in H.S. to take 2 years of a foreign language.
It’s a good thing because to get into a college/university, you need to have at least 2 years of a Foreign Language.
