I’M AN ADULT WHO HAS BEEN OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS, AND I WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE. WHERE TO BEGIN?
I’ve been out of propagandize for a while, as well as you do not even know where to begin. you need a college where you can do a little or many of a coursework online. I’m a stay during home mother as well as my father is in a military, so you could be relocating each integrate of years. you wish a bachelor’s in education. you looked during Phoenix Online, though you do not similar to which they aren’t nationally accredited.
If you take a CLEP exam (it was endorsed which you do so) what should you investigate to prepare? you wish to be all upon tip of it if you do take it.
What should you be seeking for in a school? What should you expect? Some colleges contend they need a SATs as well as ACT scores, would you have to retake them?

Do community college for now, it’s the best option as it offers easier transition for older adults. Since you’re military dependent you qualify for in-state tuition regardless of time spent in a state when you move. Don’t go to for-profit institutions, they are a rip off.
Though I’m unaware of the policy for SAT and ACT scores, I do want to offer a word of warning regarding online colleges–if they are not accredited, they are a waste of time and money. Look to a local college in your area and see if they offer any online or night classes that would fit in your schedule.
Go over to your local community college and speak to one of their advisers who deals with re-entry students. You should get knowledgeable advice, and it is free.
I was in, some what the same situation. I’ve been out of school for a while and yes I have kids and am a full-time Mom.
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to take online college, but I did anyway. However I’m not going to say “Yes, Do it!!” b-cuz it’s different for everyone.
The online thing is ok for me, Classes are pretty cool. I’ve got a 4.0 so far, I’m studying in the Paralegal field.
I think you should take a course in something you won’t lose interest in, while you’re taking the classes. When I applied I wasn’t asked for any SAT’s or ACT scores, If they do ask u re-take them?? I doubt that will happen.
Check out Kaplan University Online
what is wrong with national accreditation? WHY do people always think that this is SO bad? The USDept of Ed sees it the same: the military sees it as the same.
CLEP is a competency test for a particular subject. If you are taking the CLEP in math, I suggest that you study math.
Try Western Governors University (nationally AND regionally accredited) or Colorado Technical University (private, for-profit, regionally accredited… hate the parent company but the school itself is ok)
Someone on base should also be able to help you….. the military has all KINDS of freebies for family of servicemen
