There’s a fine line between being pastor and being inappropriate. A pastor should never be weird like that to a girl EVER. If you get the vibe that he’s being flirty and lusty, then you’re most likely correct in your thinking. I would not talk to him as much as possible, he needs to get the hint that his ways and calling you “baby” are very inappropriate, ESPECIALLY for a pastor.
You should try to avoid him as much as possible and just talk to his wife as she’s your spiritual mother. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. In church, women are supposed to mentor women and men are supposed to mentor men. Otherwise, there are no boundaries and the enemy can come in do a lot of damage.
If it really bugs you, you can always say something to him like “please don’t say inappropriate things to me, it makes me feel really uncomfortable”. You might also take it up with one of the elders if it still bothers you. But don’t put yourself in the position to be alone with him or to talk to him privately (like on the phone). In the Bible it says, flee from all appearances of evil. I’m not saying at all that your pastor is evil, but the appearance of evil is that he seems a little lusty, so it’s best to just run from it, avoid it, and privately pray for him to overcome it.
